I want to take this opportunity to thank our pastors and churches for partnering with us in district ministries. Your faithful, and at times sacrificial, gifts allow us to accomplish more together than any one pastor or one church could accomplish on their own. As we focus on starting churches, strengthening churches, and developing leaders we continue to rely on our partnership and the synergy created when we share the same mission.
Some churches contribute to the District Unified Ministries Fund each week, several contribute on a monthly basis, and a few contribute quarterly. We are grateful for all of you.
Zone Mission Tours, Children and Teen Quizzing, discipleship resourcing, Winter Retreat, Sustaining Circles, district-wide training events, Ministry Team Retreat, New Works, mentoring, multicultural ministry, camp meeting, clergy credentialing, children’s camp, district NYI and NMI conventions, youth camp, Hocking Hills Retreat Center- these are just a few things we are able to do together because of our partnership. Your participation also provides for the encouragement, support, and resourcing of 81 different congregations.
As our church year ends on February 28, we will begin to collect data and prepare reports for district assembly. Pastor, this would be a good time to check with your treasurer on the status of contributions to all our denominational partnerships: World Evangelism Fund (WEF), Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU), Pensions USA, and the South Central Ohio District.
