SCO Family,
I hope this email finds you all in high spirits after a busy weekend. I wanted to take a moment to extend my heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to each and every one of you for the incredible impact you made during the Big Serve weekend. Your planning, commitment, and selflessness have truly made a difference in the lives of those around you.
It is a blessing when a group of individuals comes together with a common goal to serve and bless the community. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and I believe that your actions align with the teachings of Scripture. As Proverbs 19:17 reminds us, “Mercy to the needy is a loan to God, and God pays back those loans in full”. By reaching out and blessing your community, you have exemplified the love and compassion that Jesus Christ demonstrated throughout His ministry.
I am humbled by the stories of lives touched, hearts uplifted, and burdens lightened as a result of your hard work. Whether it was organizing food drives, volunteering at shelters, praying and writing cards, blessing first responders, or helping those in need, your acts of kindness have left an indelible mark on the community.
I believe that your efforts have not only impacted the lives of those you served but have also strengthened the bonds within your congregation. Working side by side, shoulder to shoulder, you have fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie that make the church stronger. As the Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12:27, “Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it”. Your collective efforts have demonstrated the power of unity and the strength that comes from working together as one body.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your
commitment to making a positive difference in your communities. May you continue to be a blessing in your community, spreading love, kindness, and compassion wherever you go.
Once again, congratulations on a successful Big Serve! Your impact will be felt for years to come, and I am confident that your efforts will continue to transform lives. May God bless you abundantly as you continue to be His hands and feet in the world.
PS – Our 81st District Assembly is just 10 days away! Our theme is “Re-Tool” so get ready for inspiration, instruction, and blessing as we gather together as the SCO family.
Can’t wait to see you there!
