District Assembly is Upon Us
In just five days, we’ll be gathering from across South Central Ohio for a time of celebration, connection, and concentration on the year we’ve closed, with a strong commitment to the year we are entering into. We are casting our sights on The One.
The following are some important details concerning our 82nd District Assembly.
Sunday, April 27th — Ordination Service
- Set up for Ordinands Reception can begin at 3:00pm in the Activity Center.
- All Vendor / Display Tables in the foyer can be set up beginning at 3:00pm.
- Ordinands to report to the choir room behind platform at 4:45 – 5:00pm.
- Coffee Hour begins at 5:00pm.
- Flag-bearers report to the foyer at 5:15pm.
- All ordained clergy for the Minister’s Choir report to the platform at 5:15pm.
- Ordination Service will begin at 6:00pm.
Monday, April 28th — Business Session
- Registration begins at 8:00am in the main foyer.
- Registering alternates should be taken care of at that time. Alternates must be listed on the Certificate of Election the Lead Pastor submitted.
- A packet and a couple of Handbooks will be provided.
- The business will open at 8:30am in the sanctuary. Please be sure to be seated by this time.
- Dr. Estep will be sharing his report, and casting vision for The One, at 9:00am.
- We have a special presentation and announcement by Rev. Rob Paugh for the Hocking Hills Retreat Center at 11:00am. You won’t want to miss this!
- Lunch break will be between 12 noon and 1:30pm.
- Dr. Chambo will be preaching right after lunch, and you will want to be present.
- Dr. Estep will be leading us in a special time of prayer for our pastors and other ministry leaders around 2:50pm.
- We plan to conclude the business with receiving Communion together around 3:30pm.
