ABOUT US

  • FACILITY: Hocking Hills Retreat Center (HHRC) spans several hundred acres in the beautiful Hocking Hills of southern Ohio. It is home to Nazarene District Camp Meeting, numerous retreats and events, recreational activities, hiking trails, and dozens of privately owned cabins. Year-round public rentals include ten rustic retreat cabins, two vacation apartments, shaded RV Park sites along the river, an outdoor meeting shelter, a large conference room, and multiple small meeting rooms.   • EVENTS: We encourage all churches and families to use our facilities for meetings, retreats, vacations, sabbaticals, and more. The large District Ministry Center serves as our tabernacle during the annual summer camp meeting and has hosted various concerts, conferences, and District Children's Bible Quiz Finals since 2013. Currently under construction are youth cabins, shower houses, and a multi-purpose dining hall. Come and join the excitement at Hocking Hills Retreat Center.

We need your help!

WEEKEND WORK DAYS:

We have been planning our work weekends based upon the weather but realize that it would be helpful to have some dates in advance that you might be able to plan to participate. With that in mind, here are some weekend dates that we are planning to have work dates.

We will still have other works dates, but these are some date that you can plan to participate in.

WEEK LONG WORK DAYS:

We've learned we can get a lot of work done when we have committed team over a weeklong period. With that in mind, we are planning three week-long work weeks to try and finish the 4 cabins. For those willing to commit, we will provide a place to stay on the camp for free. All you have to do is provide breakfast and dinner, we'll take care of lunch. Below are week-long dates:

If you or your group are interested in participating in one of these weeks, please us know as soon as you can so we can reserve your lodging and make plans. We will share with you where we are in the construction process prior to your week so you can be prepared for the work.

Nazarene District Camp Meeting

When: Every summer in July

Summer Camp Meeting includes daily activities and evening services at 7 pm. Sunday services are 5 pm.

Nursery, preschool, and children's services are held during each evening service. Food is available for purchase at the shelter house before and after each evening service.

Teen Afterglow Pizza Party & Bonfire: Wednesday during Camp Meeting.

Retreat Cabins

Cabins in Hocking, our management company, is in charge of all arrangements related to rentals (except for the days of camp meeting).

Special rates during the off-season and special ministry group rates are also available during the off-season. ​For reservations during CAMP MEETING or for a MINISTRY RETREAT, contact Miriam Kuhn at 740-603-1050 or mirkuhn@gmail.com.

Cabins have two bedrooms, (one downstairs and one in the loft), couch with pull-out bed, full kitchen, living area, TV with Direct TV,  deck, picnic table, grill, fire ring, full bathroom.

We have 10 cabins that sleep 6, and 2 apartments that also sleep 6. One of the apartments is handicap accessible. Hocking Hills Retreat Center is a tobacco and alcohol-free property.

RV Park

We have 28 shaded campsites along the Hocking River, (most have a concrete pad for porch), electric hook-ups, shower house, dump station, and two city-water stations. The park has a shelter house with picnic tables and 17 fire rings.

For campsites during Camp Meeting, contact Ryan Young at 740-645-5063. Hocking Hills Retreat Center is a tobacco and alcohol-free property.

Directions from Columbus: Take Rt. 33 East bypass around Lancaster and continue East.  The take State Rt. 180/33A exit and turn left off the exit ramp.  The Hocking Hills Retreat Center is located approximately 3 miles of the left at 30682 Chieftain Drive, Logan, Ohio 43138-8795

Directions from Athens: Take Rt. 33 West to the State Rt. 664 exit.  Turn right and proceed to the second traffic signal then turn left onto Chieftain Drive.  The Hocking Hills Retreat Center is located approximately 1 mile on the right at  30682 Chieftain Drive, Logan, Ohio 43138-8795
