Lower Lights Ministries Celebrates the Faithfulness of God and His Servants

Celebration of Hope is the annual event where the community of Lower Lights Ministries gathers together to celebrate what God is doing through the ministry and around them in the community.  For the last several years it’s been held at the Boat House on the northern edge of Franklinton.

Rev. Jan Ruark (Chief Executive Officer of Lower Lights Ministries) reports that on September 21, 2017, this event raised $76,126 in gifts and pledges!  She also expressed her personal gratefulness to all the many friends, participants, donors and well-wishers who come together to eat a meal, tell their stories and strengthen each other through the encouragement of a shared meal.

This year, Lower Lights Ministries is celebrating 25 years of ministry to the community of Franklinton near the downtown Columbus area.  The major focus ministries of LLM include Rachel’s House, Light the Way Home, Project Aim Family Mentoring, Bright Lights Kids, Franklinton Family Meals, and Urban Leadership Training.
